My family has this breakfast tradition of making mini cinnamon rolls out of a can of croissant rolls. We open the container, roll out the dough, and instead of making it into a bunch of croissants, we slather butter on them. Then we take a cinnamon sugar mix and sprinkle it all over. We roll up the dough and cut it into little mini cinnamon rolls.

Well, I wanted to surprise my neighbors with this yummy treat. I bought the supplies and headed home to make them. I rolled it out, slathered it in butter, sprinkled the dough with cinnamon sugar, and stuck it in the oven. While it was cooking, I kept smelling garlic. “Maybe I am imagining it,” I thought to myself.
The timer went off, and I pulled the gold brown mini cinnamon rolls out of the oven. I was proud of myself for making these. After they cooled, I iced them and knocked on my neighbors door. She thanked me and took them inside to try them.
After a few minutes, I heard a knock on the door. My neighbor was standing there with a quizzical look on her face. She very kindly asked if had used garlic butter instead of regular butter. I knew I hadn’t done that and told her so. She let me try some, and I was completely horrified to taste the garlic flavor.
Running inside, I dug through the trash can. I pulled out the can of garlic butter croissants.
